Welcome to National Trail-MVCTC FFA website. We are an agricultural science program located in New Paris, OH. Our chapter has 175 active AET student accounts and 2 teachers.

Our students are developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth and career success through agricultural education.

Please take a look around our site to see what's going on at National Trail-MVCTC FFA.

Each of the 90 eighth grade students at National Trail visited the Ag Department for Operation Become a Member. The Recruitment Committee worked with the officer team to organize a fun-filled day to excite and encourage students to enroll in the Agricultural Education program as a freshman in high school. The visiting students rotated through the department learning about the coursework, FFA, and SAEs to see firsthand that the program offers something for everyone.
Students bagged 500 bags of food for Preble County residents. Each bag contained two nutritious recipes that were selected by the Human Resources Committee with all of the ingredients to prepare the two recipes in a stove or microwave oven in one
The Environmental Committee assisted all 90 third graders with planting green beans and corn seeds in an interactive lesson in the school greenhouse. FFA members were challenged with teaching the students how to become good stewards of the land and meeting the Ohio Third Grade Academic Standards in a fun setting. FFA members set up stations that the third-grade students rotated through. A favorite station was creating a soil profile with all edible materials.
The Career Success Committee worked diligently to put an informational packet together to assist community members seeking employment. Twice a month FFA members set up a Career Success station at the local food pantry in New Paris to assist community members with applying for jobs by creating a cover letter, resume and follow up letter. FFA members also lent a hand to community members who were filling out job applications.
Each of the 170 FFA members at National Trail completed the Job Interview Experience by creating a resume and cover letter, completing an application, interview and follow up letter. The FFA members were interviewed by agricultural professionals throughout the school day. FFA members are better prepared for interviews as a result of completing the Job Interview Experience.
FFA members were encouraged to become active members of society by hosting a Legislative Luncheon for the faculty of National Trail and 28 elected officials. Tess Elsahoff, State School Board President, as well as Representative Rezabek and Senator Beagle were three of the key guests present. The National Trail Board of Education and Preble County elected officials were also present for the luncheon. FFA members prepared questions prior to the luncheon so they would have key topics to discuss over lunch.
